Faithful reflection of the previous stage, today we will continue along endless paths
surrounded by cereal fields; without a single tree in sight to shelter from the sun or the
cold and rain during the nearly twenty kilometres that separate Hornillos from the Camino
de Castrojeriz.
Recommendation Pilgrim
People with reduced mobility are not able to do this stage up to San Antón, after this place they can
go through the road to Castrojeriz. Cyclists must be careful on that road due to the narrowness of
it. With the exception of this section, the rest of the stage shouldn’t show any problem.

Itinerary
Km 0 ‧ Hornillos del Camino
On leaving Hornillos, following the road that crosses the village, we take a track on the
right; we cross the first plateau along lonely, stony paths between cereal fields. To go to
San Bol, 250 metres from the road, take the well-marked turning on the left.
We continue straight on along the same path, ascending the second plateau. We cross
the local road BU-P-4041. We continue straight on; further on we descend to Hontanas.
Km 10,5 ‧ Hontanas
We continue straight on along the same path, ascending the second plateau. We cross
the local road BU-P-4041. We continue straight on; further on we descend to Hontanas.
Km 16,1 ‧ Convento de San Antón
We walk under the double Gothic arch and continue along the same road. We enter
Castrojeriz next to the Colegiata de la Virgen del Manzano Collegiate Church; we then
continue along the Colegiata Avenue and Calle Real de Oriente, now in the Old Quarter,
until we reach the Plaza Mayor square.
