In this stage you will have to walk up sometimes, you will find a lot of small paths. You will get to the Castillo de Castrotorafe castle and to the Monasterio de Moreruela castle.
You will start in Montamarta and firstle, you will have to walk towards the Embalse de Ricobayo reservoir. You will find the Ermita de la Virgen del Castillo hermitage. Continuing through the old Roman Road you will get to a viaduct that you have to cross to get to the reservoir. Then you will have to walk through a path near it. Now you can walk through the national road to cross a bridge and turn left. Then you will have to get to the reservoir and then walk up until get to the remains of the Castillo de Castrotorafe castle; in the past it used to be a city here that was very important in the Roman Empire. El trazado se aproxima pero no pasa directamente por él, pero sin duda el desvío merece la pena.
Then, after approximately three kiloemtres you will get to Fontanillas de Castro a small village where you can rest for a while or maybe buy some needed stuff. Then you will have to continue through a path to the right that will lead you to Riego del Camino, a village where you will find a hostel.
Now you will have to walk parallel to the national road. Near Granja de Moreruela you will walk through the road that leads to the Monasterio cisterciense de Moreruela monastery. In the city centre you will find all the needed services, before getting there you will have to walk through some streets such as José Rodríguez Joaquín.
In this village is where you will meet all people coming from the Sanabrés Way, from now, you will walk with them until get to Santiago de Compostela.
