The Lighthouse Trail: From Malpica to Finisterre
707 €One of the greatest adventures you can experience in Galicia. This route is a 200 km hiking route linking the towns of Malpica and Finisterre along the edge of the sea. With the sea as the protagonist you can visit the lighthouses and enjoy the points of interest of the Galician coast called “Costa da Morte” (Death Coast).
Route for Pilgrims
Day 1: Arrival at Malpica and accomodation
You will arrive in Malpica on your own or through the means we have arranged for your transfer to the beginning of the Camino to start walking.
Day 2: Stage Malpica – Niñóns
21,9 kmAfter breakfast at your accommodation in Malpica, you will start the first stage of the route that will take you to the town of Niñóns. Stage with an approximate duration of 22 km and moderate difficulty, where you will visit the Punta Nariga lighthouse and several beaches.
Day 3: Stage Niñóns – Ponteceso
26,1 kmAfter breakfast at your accommodation in Niñóns you will start the second stage of your Camiño dos Faros towards the town of Ponteceso. The stage has a length of 26,1 km and a high difficulty, where you can appreciate the Roncudo lighthouse.
Day 4: Stage Ponteceso – Laxe
(25 km/ 15 miles)After breakfast at your accommodation in Ponteceso you will start the stage of your Lighthouse Trail towards the town of Laxe. The stage is 25,3 km long and of low difficulty, where you will be able to appreciate the incredible white sand beach of Laxe.
Day 5: Stage Laxe – Arou
17,7 kmThe stage between Laxe and Arou is the shortest stage of our Camino, it is a simple stage with a duration of less than 18 km. You can visit the lighthouse of Laxe and the beach of Los Cristales (Beach of Crystals).
Day 6: Stage Arou – Camariñas
26,1 kmAfter breakfast at the accommodation in Arou, you will face the stage that ends in the town of Camariñas. This is a 26 km stage of medium difficulty where you can visit places such as the Vilán lighthouse.
Day 7: Stage Camariñas – Muxía
32 kmAfter breakfast at your accommodation in Camariñas, you will face the longest stage of this Camino, which ends in the town of Muxía. It is a 32 km stage in which you can enjoy great points of interest such as the lighthouse of Muxía or the Sanctuary of Virxe da Barca.
Day 8: Stage Muxía – Nemiña
24,3 kmAfter breakfast at your accommodation in Muxía, you will face the penultimate stage of this Camino, which ends in the town of Nemiña. It is a stage of 24,3 km with a high difficulty in which you can enjoy great points of interest such as the lighthouse of Cabo Touriñán.
Day 9: Stage Nemiña – Cabo Finisterre
26,2 kmAfter breakfast at the accommodation in Nemiña you will face the last stage of the “Camiño dos Faros” that ends in the town of Finisterre/Fisterra. It is a 26 km stage of high difficulty in which you can enjoy great points of interest such as the famous lighthouse of Fisterra or historical heritage such as the Castro de Castromiñán.
Day 10: Finisterre / Fisterra
After breakfast our services will be finished. If you wish, you can book a transfer service to the starting point, in case you have left your car at the start. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any modification of this package.
