Our cancellation policy is clear and simple, we explain it to you as follows: Any cancellation must be notified to Pilgrim by e-mail, indicating the reservation number at email@example.com
Cancellation of experiences:
In the event that the client cancels the trip prior to departure, he or she will be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid and must compensate the agency for the following items:
- Expenses of 100€ per person including VAT for any cancellation.
- Penalty of 5% (after deducting the 100€ per person) of the amount of the trip if it is cancelled more than 30 days in advance.
- Penalty of 30% (after deducting the 100€ per person) of the total cost of the trip if the cancellation takes place between 15 and 10 days prior to departure.
- Penalty of 50% (after deducting the 100€ per person) of the amount of the trip if cancellation occurs between 10 and 5 days prior to departure.
- Penalty of 100% of the amount of the trip if cancellation occurs within 5 days prior to the start date.
In case the user does not show up at the departure of the trip and/or does not notify the cancellation or does so during the course of the trip, the client will not be entitled to any refund of the amount paid. In the event that the reservation includes any type of service, the cancellation policy to be applied will be governed by the one stipulated for each specific service.
These conditions are maintained for personal or other reasons.
Pilgrim Travel will reimburse the client the full amount paid when the client is forced to cancel the experience due to lack of availability of accommodation or logistical reasons that prevent the departure. However, Pilgrim Travel is not obliged to do so when the cancellation is due to reasons beyond its control, such as abnormal, unavoidable consequences, etc.
Cancellation of bicycle rental services:
In the event of cancellation of the rental service the following rules apply:
- up to 30 days before the start of the service, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.
- Between 30 days and 15 days before the start of the service, 50% of the amount paid will be refunded.
- between 15 days and the start of the service, no refund will be made of the total amount paid for the reservation.
The deposit will be refunded at 100% if the bikes are not used.
Note: Any cancellation request received after 20:00 on Friday will be deemed to have been received on the next business day. In addition, cancellations received by email will not be effective until the next business day, according to the Spanish public holiday schedule.
Pilgrim Travel recommends taking out a Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking.
We have a Cancellation Insurance that covers cancellation expenses for various contingencies, mainly medical, family or work reasons. You can consult the main insurance coverages contacting us.
If a client has cancellation insurance, and in the event of such cancellation, the reasons for such cancellation are stated in the policy, they will only lose the amount of €100 per person including VAT corresponding to management fees. If the reasons for cancellation are not included in the policy, the cancellation policy will be applied as indicated in the section “Cancellation of Experiences”.
Once the trip has begun, in case of suspension, modification, interruption of the services or voluntary withdrawal by a client for personal reasons or any other reason, there will be not an option of a refund of the services contracted and not enjoyed.
Change of reservations
Any changes made to a reservation (including any change of name, number of people, type of accommodation, dates, additional nights requested or withdrawn, additional services, etc.) must be communicated by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and will be subject to the corresponding charges for the change:
A management fee of € 25 per change will apply for reservations between 1 and 6 nights; € 40 per change for bookings between 7 and 14 nights and € 60 per change for bookings of 15 nights or more.
The consumer will be responsible for any additional costs that may occur as a result of the changes requested.
The changes mentioned above must be communicated at least 7 days before the start of the Camino.
The agency reserves the right to modify/cancel the trip during the 5 days following receipt of payment by the client, if the delay in the acceptance of the quote or the imminent departure date requested by the client causes the non-existence of availability in accommodation that meets the minimum quality criteria required by Pilgrim.
In the event of delay in the acceptance of the quote, the client is entitled to a full refund of the total amount of the reservation except for the 100€ management fee.
In the event of an imminent departure date requested by the client that prevents the completion of the same, the client is entitled to a full refund of the full amount of the reservation without penalty.
