Route for Pilgrims
Day 1: Arrival at Tui
You can arrive in Tuy by your own or in case you want it, we can arrange your transfer from any airport or station you are. In case you make it with time , many relevant spots awaits to be visited. Also, the wide variety of gastronomic delights that Tui has to offer will guarantee you to start The Way plenty of energy.
Day 2: Stage Tui – O Porriño
13 kmYou will wake up at your accommodation in Tui fresh new to start your walk towards O Porriño. Leaving behind beautiful places, you will reach O Porriño, where you can visit different points of interest, such as Santa María chapel.
Day 2: Stage O Porriño – Redondela
16 kmYou will wake up at your accommodation at O Porriño with an energetic breakfast, thus you could start your route with bells on. On your way, you will pass by Mos. After reaching Redondela, you can visit different places of interest there.
Day 3: Redondela – Pontevedra Stage
19 kmDuring this stage, try as many local dishes as you can!. Don’t worry too much about a full belly, as this stage of the Way will be gentle on the feet. Feel free to take a break from the hike at any time to relax and enjoy your surroundings as well as Galicia´s wonderful gastronomy.
Day 4: Pontevedra – Caldas de Reis Stage
19 kmBefore resuming the route towards Caldas de Reis, you must enjoy the wonderful city of Pontevedra. Its Old Town has a singular atmosphere difficult to find in any other routes along The Way of St. James.
Day 5: Caldas de Reis – Padrón Stage
17 kmIn this Stage we will head a very popular village, well-known both inside and outside Galicia .If you don’t know why, the reason are the peppers. They are pretty small, and can be eaten in a single mouthful, but the tricky part is that some of them are hot. Impossible to guess before you eat them. It’s like a Russian roulette. According to a local saying “The Peppers from Padron are some hot and others don’t “( Pimientos de Padrón, unos pican y otros no)
Day 6: Padrón – Santiago de Compostela Stage
22 kmAfter the breakfast eaten in your Padron Accommodation , you will face the last stage of this Portuguese Way: Santiago de Compostela. This is the longest part. It is about 22 km, however the walk will be amiable and easy to hike, specially because in our mind there will be only one thought: Arriving in Santiago as a reward for this adventure.
Day 7: Santiago de Compostela
Bed and Breakfast Day off to visit all those monuments that, besides the Cathedral, have made this town so special.
After breakfast our services will be finished.
