It is worth noting that this route does not reach the hundred kilometres required to obtain the “compostela” (pilgrim certificate), as it is only a little less than seventy-five kilometres from Santiago. Known as the Way of the Lighthouse, if you decide to undertake the journey from A Coruña you will meet the pilgrims of the traditional variant of the English Way from Ferrol in the town of Bruma, after passing through areas such as O Burgo or Sigrás, where you can visit the Church of Santiago.

Once in the town of Bruma, you can finally rest and if you feel up to it, you will have the chance to visit the San Lorenzo Chapel, built in the mid-16th century, so its predominant style is late Gothic.

You are already very close to the finish line and that’s pretty obvious as the amount of pilgrims grows with every step.

If you reach Sigüeiro and it is not very late, you could visit the local medieval bridge over the Tambre River. It was mainly built in masonry between the 12th and 14th century. Now it is time to rest. This way, we will face the last and most emotional stage with stamina.
