A short stage that will allow us to relish the small but charming fishing village of Luarca.
Recommendation Pilgrim
This kind of stage could be a little bit boring. You have to take into account that walk through
the national road is a little bit dangerous so we recommend you to wear always a reflective vest.
This stage is easy for everyone. This stage is easy for everyone.

Itinerary
Km 0 ‧ Cadavedo
From Cadavedo, we continue for a few metres along the national road and, just before a
roundabout, we take a dirt track to the right. Following the yellow arrows, we will reach the
small hamlet of Villademoros.
We follow a local road and, after a diversion a little farther ahead, we cross Palminero
creek. We quickly find ourselves in San Cristóbal and neighbouring Querúas, alternating
road N-632 and local roads.
Km 5 ‧ Querúas
We leave the road behind to zigzag down to the 19th century chapel of San Miguel de
Canero, which was originally a monastery founded by the counts Xemeno Xemeniz and
Aragonti. Furthermore, there used to be a pilgrim hospital, like in many other chapels
along the Camino. After this quick visit, we join the national road again and follow it
towards Luarca.
Km 6,3 ‧ Canero
From here, we will take a nice forest track that will take us to the river Esva, which we will
easily cross, ditching the tarmac again after crossing the bridge next to a guesthouse. We
will continue alternating some roads and paths until reaching Barcia.
Km 12,2 ‧ Barcia
After Barcia, we will keep on switching from roads to local tracks and vice versa until we
come across the junction between La Atalaya road and La Carril street. We take the latter,
which will take us to the centre of Luarca.
