The scarce mileage of this stage will allow us to rest our legs a little and to take the time
to delight in the astonishing architectural gems, such as La Quinta de Selgas palace, and
to wander the quiet streets in Soto de Luiña.
Recommendation Pilgrim
If the weather is bad we recommend you to go through the national road, but if you are traveling
in summer the best option is to go through the mountain because you will enjoy the
wonderful landscape. Cyclists and people with reduced mobility should go through the national road.

Itinerary
Km 0 ‧ Muros de Nalón
We start today’s walk from the main square in Muros, heading towards El Pito along a local
road that we reach after crossing the rail tracks. We should not miss out on visiting La
Quinta de Selgas, a palace complex surrounded by vast gardens that keep the essence of
the original project.
Apart from its gardens, in particular the so-called French garden,
inside the palace and its wings we can contemplate numerous tapestries and paintings of
great quality.
The first few metres from El Pito are on tarmac, but we soon switch to a forest track to the
left that leads to San Roque creek. We will then have to go uphill in pursuit of road N-632,
which we will come across by El Manto. We continue ascending until we see another creek,
called Santa Ana, in El Rellayo.
Km 8,6 ‧ El Rellayo
From here, we keep following the national road, cross the rail tracks and, at La
Magdalena, we turn right towards El Ribete, finding ourselves back on road N-632. Before
arriving at Mumayor, we will have to cross Concha de Artedo viaduct, the longest and
tallest in Asturias, to save the highway.
Km 12,4 ‧ Mumayor
We are now very close to Soto de Luiña, just having to continue alternating local roads
and country paths to La Fontona, where we will join N-632 again.
