About this stage
Short stage that runs through a fully country setting, as we will advance slightly inland along a terrain with a higher gradient than the previous days. We will walk through little hamlets until we reach Villaviciosa, capital of the apple.
Pilgrim Recommendation
Gijón and Oviedo have a lot of things to do and to visit, here you will also taste the wonderful Asturian gastronomy. It is an easy stage.

Km 0 ‧ Colunga
We cross Colunga by the main street, which is also the national road, and, at the end, we take the road towards Puente Agüera to the left. We must follow this road until an arrow ells us to turn towards Pernús, crossing under the highway and passing by Beldreu farmhouse

Km 5,2 ‧ Pernús
After the descent to Pernús, in the municipality of Colunga, we have to go up again, at least for another 2 kilometres, heading towards Priesca, location of San Salvador church; declared National Monument, this church represents one of the best examples of preRomanesque architecture in Asturias. We follow a very steep downhill path to the right of the church that runs parallel to the river, quickly reaching Sebrayo. Already within Villaviciosa municipality, Sebrayo stands out for the 12th-century Santa María church, a rectangular church with a single nave.
Km 11,2 ‧ Sebrayo
We leave Sebrayo following the road that runs through the village, cross under the highway and, immediately, turn right. A little farther ahead, we will have to cross the highway again, this time by a bridge over it. Continuing along the left-hand side of the road, we reach the urban area of Villaviciosa, internationally known for the quality of its apple trees and, therefore, its cider.
