HOW TO REACH SARRIA FROM MADRID

ROAD

We leave the capital on the A-6 towards Galicia, after passing places such as Benavente, Ponferrada, Villafranca del Bierzo,… We take exit 479, already in the province of Lugo, to continue along CP-1611, after a few kilometres, we turn left to join LU-546, which we will follow until we reach Sarria.

Once you arrive at your destination, you can park your car in a public or private car park, so that your vehicle is not a worry as you walk along the different stages.

PLANE

There are flights from Madrid to Santiago from 57 €, with an approximate duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes.

HOW TO REACH SARRIA FROM BARCELONA

To get from the Catalan city to Sarria, our best option is probably the train, due to the existence of high-speed lines, the time of our journey will be reduced and we will enjoy the comfort that these offer.

ROAD

We must leave Barcelona in the direction of Zaragoza via the B-23 at L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, in order to take different motorways such as the AP-7, AP-2 or AP-1, all of them in the direction of Burgos. Along these motorways we will be paying different tolls for a total amount of approximately 50 €, we must take into account that this is practically what the ticket of any other means of transport would cost us.
Once we reach the province of Burgos we join the A-66 where we must take exit number 143 in order to take the AP-71 (more tolls) towards Astorga, once this is finished, we will take exit number 37 to finally reach the A-6 towards A Coruña, when we see the exit sign with the number 479 we will turn off to reach CP 16-11 which will connect us with LU-546 which will take us directly to our destination.

PLANE

Flights connecting Barcelona and Santiago are available from 37 € and last approximately a couple of hours.

HOW TO REACH SARRIA FROM VALENCIA

The mission to get to Sarria from the Spanish Levante is a little more difficult, as we can only do it if we get to Santiago de Compostela before with the train connection, although we also have the option of travelling by road and plane.

    ROAD

    We leave the Levante area behind us on the A-3 towards Madrid, once we have passed the capital we take the A-6 towards Galicia, which we will not leave until exit 479, to continue along the CP 16-11 to LU-546, which will take us directly to our destination.

    PLANE

    If we use the plane, we will be in the Galician capital city in approximately two hours and for around 53 €.

    HOW TO REACH SARRIA FROM MÁLAGA

    The south of the country is the worst communicated area with Galicia, despite this there is a line that connects Malaga with Santiago, which makes it possible for us to arrive at the beginning of our route.

    ROAD

    We leave Malaga on the A-45 until we join the E-902 towards Granada, from there we take the E-5 which takes us directly to the capital where we take the A-6 towards Galicia, after crossing the provinces of Ávila, Zamora and León we reach the province of Lugo where we take exit 479 to join the LU-546 regional road towards Sarria.

    PLANE

    You can use this means of transport from 80 € to get to Lavacolla airport, with a journey time of about two hours.

    HOW TO REACH SARRIA FROM SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

    The most interesting option to get to Sarria from the Galician capital is by bus, both for economic reasons and for the combination of timetables.

    We leave the Galician capital, to which we will return after finishing the stages of the Camino from Sarria, on the N-550 towards SC-20 where we will take the AP-9 to later join the A-6. Take exit 488 of the north-west motorway and follow the road between Lugo and Monforte CG-2.2, which will take you directly to Sarria.

    ROAD

    We leave Lugo on the CG-2.2 regional road that connects the provincial capital and Monforte de Lemos. Halfway between the two, we will reach our destination after approximately 30 kilometres.
