About this stage
This section is the steepest slope of the Aragonese Way, it is not a steep slope but it stretches for 5.8 km, however, this climb is rewarded with the wonderful views of the Yesa reservoir. Before climbing this slope, you will pass in front of the hermitage of Santiago and, before reaching Sangüesa, you will find the hermitage of Socorro.

As this is a steeper stage, make sure you have the right footwear to be able to tackle the slope and the stretch without any inconvenience.

Itinerary
Km 0 ‧ Ruesta
It is time to venture out again, we start by going down a path until we cross a bridge over the river Regal where, further on, we will cross the hermitage of Santiago. We continue our route along a dirt track that crosses a wooded area and we gradually climb upwards. It is not very steep, but it stretches for almost 6 km, so we will have to be patient and face it with enthusiasm. At the end of the route we will be able to appreciate the marvellous views of the Yesa reservoir.
At a rocky crossroads the slope ends, as well as the wooded area. Turn left and a few metres further on turn right, where you continue along a somewhat unkempt path until you see the village of Undués de Lerda on the horizon. We have to go down a small slope and then continue straight on until we reach the village.
We cross the village on a downhill slope using stone paths and come out onto a road that we have to cross. A few metres further on you will see an information panel announcing your arrival in the Community of Navarre.
Km 22 ‧ Sangüesa
We continue our way crossing the road until we reach the village of Javier, with the hermitage of Socorro on our right hand side. Passing through rural areas with some farms, we reach the end of our stage, the town of Sangüesa.
