Departing from Santiago de Compostela, we will visit a winery where you will discover the world of Albariño, one of Galicia’s most popular wines, and enjoy a tasting of this delicious variety.
Afterwards, we will head to one of the most charming villages in Galicia: Combarro. Its seaside granaries (hórreos), stone houses, and well-preserved streets make this small village a delightful place for a leisurely stroll.
Next, we will visit A Toxa Island, home to the famous Chapel of San Caralampio, also known as the Shell Chapel (Capela das Cunchas), whose exterior is entirely covered with scallop shells. We will also see the bridge connecting O Grove and A Toxa.
We will then enjoy a catamaran cruise along the coast to learn about the unique system of cultivating Galicia’s renowned mussels on floating platforms known as bateas. The boat trip lasts approximately one hour, during which we will sample mussels, wine, soft drinks, and water while sailing through the Ría de Arousa.
After the cruise, we will head to one of Galicia’s most iconic tourist destinations: O Grove, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choice.
We will conclude the day at the spectacular Praia da Lanzada, a place steeped in Celtic legends, ancient traditions, and Christian rituals.
