Departing from Santiago de Compostela, we will travel to the beautiful city of Lugo, where we will enjoy a guided tour of its historic center lasting approximately 1.5 hours. During the visit, we will discover the Roman Walls of Lugo, famous for being one of the few Roman city walls in the world that remains almost completely intact, as well as Lugo Cathedral and the charming narrow streets of the old town.

After exploring this historic city, we will head to Ribadeo, a town in northern Galicia that has been gaining popularity thanks to the beauty of its streets and architecture. Ribadeo is considered a living testament to Galicia’s history of emigration, particularly to Latin America, where many Galicians were forced to seek new opportunities in the past. Here, we will have the chance to admire the beautiful buildings constructed by those who eventually returned home.

Next, we will make our way to Praia das Catedrais (Cathedrals Beach), officially known as Praia de Augas Santas (Beach of the Holy Waters). Its popular name comes from the spectacular rock formations that resemble the flying buttresses of magnificent Gothic cathedrals. Taking advantage of low tide, we will be able to walk among these extraordinary natural sculptures shaped by centuries of sea erosion. Immerse yourself in the magic of this unique place and end an unforgettable day strolling beneath its breathtaking stone arches.

I really enjoyed how the tour mixed cultural history with stunning scenery. Walking through Lugo’s old city and seeing the Cathedral up close was fascinating - the views at Las Catedrales Beach were unforgettable.

Ribadeo me sorprendió mucho.
