This tower owes its name to its sharp top, finished in the form of a pyramid of octagonal base and it is a firm prismatic building of berroque\u00f1a ashlar masonry, in which some windows of sharp arch can be appreciated. In the central part it possesses four terraces and in them they can be appreciated machicolations of small dimension, supported in four trilobulated brackets. On the terraces a modern body of octagonal form was built, made of brick, with semicircular arches and topped by a vertical spire.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pilgrim.es\/web\/caminos\/via-de-la-plata\/pueblos\/galisteo\/puntos-de-interes\/torre-de-la-picota.jpg\" alt=\"Torre de la Picota\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion__accordion-content inactive\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Puente de Manrique de Lara<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This bridge, of medieval origin, was built around 1546 by order of Garc\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez Manrique de Lara, third Count of Osorno, hence the reason for its name. It was built in granite ashlars and is located over the Jerte River. In addition, it consists of a total of seven arches and a small temple in which you can see the image of San Pablo.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pilgrim.es\/web\/caminos\/via-de-la-plata\/pueblos\/galisteo\/puntos-de-interes\/puente-de-manrique-de-lara.jpg\" alt=\"Puente de Manrique de Lara\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion__accordion-content inactive\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Muralla de Galisteo<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The wall of Galisteo, of Almohad origin, dates from between the ninth and fourteenth centuries and, for its construction, were used boulders with mortar. This resource, of great heritage value, stands out for being in a good state of preservation and for its layout, arranged entirely around the village.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pilgrim.es\/web\/caminos\/via-de-la-plata\/pueblos\/galisteo\/puntos-de-interes\/muralla-de-galisteo.jpg\" alt=\"Muralla de Galisteo\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion__accordion-content inactive\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Iglesia de la Asunci\u00f3n<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The church of the Assumption stands next to the wall of Galisteo, more specifically, in the same door of Santa Maria and has an apse of Mudejar style, dating from the twelfth century and nave. The nave of the temple is arranged in three sections, with ribbed vault. <\/p>\n\n<p>The interior of the temple stands out for housing a baroque altarpiece, which dates back to the eighteenth century and, to access inside the temple is necessary to request the key to the priest of Galisteo, who lives in the Plaza Mayor of the village.
