In this variant of the Camino de Santiago is the only city that pilgrims will find before arrival.<\/p> <p>At this end of stage, pilgrims will find all the services they need. The AP-53 freeway connects Ourense with Santiago de Compostela and thanks to the link with the AP-9 you can reach A Coru\u00f1a and Ferrol quickly. There are also secondary roads that facilitate access from Ponferrada via the N-120, the OU-536 that connects with Puebla de Trives and the OU-540 that links Orense with Celanova.\n\n<p>There is a train station that connects the city with La Coru\u00f1a, Zamora, Madrid, Vigo, Barcelona, Bilbao and France. It is a square of large proportions that is surrounded by old houses and landmark buildings dating from between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Its construction began in 1522 but was not completed until 1583, thanks to \u00c1lvaro de Oca y Deza. This monument was built entirely with stone from the surroundings of Ourense and is divided into two floors. The building remained empty during the 19th century until it became the headquarters of the Liceo Recreo de Artesanos de Ourense in 1870. This image is four meters high and was the work of the sculptor Failde. <\/p>\n\n<p>As for its interior, it houses a large number of ornamental details such as chestnut wood benches inscribed with the anagram of the Virgin.
