This is due to the successive Roman and later settlements in search of gold, so it is very common to find castles, fortresses and other Roman remains.<\/p> <p>Also, thanks to its characteristic climate, the area is noted for the production of excellent wines with its own denomination of origin, the Ribeira Sacra.<\/p> <p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<div id=\"locationSection\">\n\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"p-h2-town\">Location<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<hr>\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"p-h3-town\">How to get there<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<p>The main way to reach the municipality of Quiroga is by road: by the national road N-120, which connects Vigo with Logro\u00f1o. Its original construction dates from the 17th century, although it underwent numerous later extensions such as its lateral nave, which was completely rebuilt in 1733. Said temple as a whole is composed of masonry and covered by a slate roof. <\/p>\n\n<p>In its interior houses a large altarpiece located above the main altar in which Our Lady of Hermida, San Roque, the Immaculate, San Antonio de Padua &#8230; as well as other images scattered around the temple, such as the recumbent Christ. It is worth mentioning the fact that this church was recognized thanks to the Chrismon located on the altar, which dates from the late fourth century and represents in the center scenes of Christ surrounded by a large number of large pearls. It is an area of great natural importance with an impressive ecological and scenic value.  One of the highest peaks reaches 1,654 meters with the Pico Formigueiros.\n\n<p>It stands out for the incredible climatic contrasts in the mountains and valleys, being a mix between two of the most representative climates of the country, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. <\/p>\n\n<p>Thanks to this, it is a place where you can find one of the most varied fauna in Galicia. To accompany them you should always try an empanada of raxo or chorizo sausage from the area and Escair\u00f3n bread.
