This small parish on the banks of the Tagus River is perfect to rest after a hard stage.<\/p> <p>It has a nice promenade where you can enjoy the river and the quiet atmosphere of the village. This village has seen the birth of one of the most important admirals of the Portuguese navy, Alfonso de Alburquerque, also known as the Caesar of the East or the Lion of the Seas.<\/p> &lt;p\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<div id=\"locationSection\">\n\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"p-h2-town\">Location<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<hr>\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"p-h3-town\">How to get there<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<p>Getting to the municipality of Alhandra is very easy, as it is close to Lisbon. The road to follow from Lisbon is the E1 northbound.
