These streets are communicated both traditionally and subway, the latter being known by the name of belenas.\n\n<p>Today, these passages give Puente la Reina an undeniable and unparalleled medieval flavor. These towers belong to the ancient wall that protected the town during the Middle Ages. As for its structure, it is worth mentioning its pointed semicircular arch shape.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pilgrim.es\/web\/caminos\/camino-frances\/pueblos\/puente-de-la-reina\/puntos-de-interes\/torreones-entrada.jpg\" alt=\"Torreones de Entrada a la Calle Mayor\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion__accordion-content inactive\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Plaza Mayor y Casa de los Cubiertos<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Juli\u00e1n Mena square, also known as the Plaza Mayor, located in Puente de la Reina was built in the 17th century and is considered one of the most beautiful in all of Navarra. <\/p>\n\n<p>In the same square we will find a building that has a gallery formed by a series of arcaded arches. Currently, this building serves as the headquarters of the town hall and is known under the name of &#8220;Casa de los Cubiertos&#8221;.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pilgrim.es\/web\/caminos\/camino-frances\/pueblos\/puente-de-la-reina\/puntos-de-interes\/plaza-mayor.jpg\" alt=\"Plaza Mayor y Casa de los Cubiertos\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion__accordion-content inactive\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Convento de los Trinitarios<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Convent of the Trinitarians was built in the thirteenth century, expanded during the sixteenth and renovated in the eighteenth. It is located opposite the Church of Santiago and is currently private property so it is difficult to access its interior. It is located next to the current pilgrims&#8217; hostel. <\/p>\n\n<p>This church is the beginning of the street that crosses Puente la Reina\/Gares from east to west, a path that all pilgrims have to cross since it coincides with the route of the Camino de Santiago.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pilgrim.es\/web\/caminos\/camino-frances\/pueblos\/puente-de-la-reina\/puntos-de-interes\/iglesia-crucifijo.jpg\" alt=\"Iglesia del Crucifijo\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion__accordion-content inactive\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Iglesia de San Pedro<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Church of San Pedro was built in the 16th century on the other side of the Romanesque bridge of the village and the parish church of Puente la Reina. At first glance you can see numerous reconstructions on the outside. It has seven arches, one of them underground. Next to the bridge, on the north side, is one of the most beautiful corners of Gares, in full descent to the river.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pilgrim.es\/web\/caminos\/camino-frances\/pueblos\/puente-de-la-reina\/puntos-de-interes\/puente-romano.jpg\" alt=\"Puente Rom\u00e1nico\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion__accordion-content inactive\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Convento de las Comendadoras de Sancti Spiritus<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Like the next convent of the Trinitarians, the Order of the Comendadoras del Sancti Spiritus ordered the construction of this monastic complex in the 13th century. It highlights its altarpiece, a clear example of Navarrese baroque and made by Francisco Nicol\u00e1s Pej\u00f3n.
