of\n        the cold periods to visit this place. Tehrefore, if you decide to visit here, it is\n        advisable that you book private hostels or other caccommodation in advance. Otherwise, they\n        may be booked out. In this stage, you can appreciate beautiful mountain landscapes, due to\n        its high geographic altitude.\n      <\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"recomendation-card\">\n        <div>\n          <i class=\"icon-logo-pilgrim\"><\/i>\n          <h5>Recommendation Pilgrim<\/h5>\n        <\/div>\n\n        <p>\n          Being a mountainous stage, it is recommended that people with a physical disability or\n          issue should be accompanied by trusted people, who will help them along the way. Moreover,\n          we recommend rationing your energy in order to be able to finish the stage in good\n          condition, given its mountainous profile.\n        <\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div id=\"itinerarySection\">\n      <h4 class=\"p-h4--section\">Route<\/h4>\n      <hr \/>\n      <h3 class=\"p-h3\">Itinerary<\/h3>\n      <div>\n        <h4>Km 0 &#8231; Somport<\/h4>\n        <p>\n          The stage begins in the autonomous community of Arag\u00f3n, heading towards Candanch\u00fa. Next to\n          the road, there is a trail, where you must be careful, as there are some very steep slopes\n          along the descent. After a short time, you can see the remains of the Old Santa Cristina\n          Hospital, where pilgrims from other times, stopped and rested. The trail continues on as\n          far as the Candanch\u00fa ski station, where further ahead, you should cross the River Arag\u00f3n\n          across the Puente de Santa Crstina, following a path with a slight incline. Passing the\n          National road N-330, we change to a trail that is not so well-preserved, that crosses\n          through a forest of pine trees. We can see the Fuerte de Coll de Ladrones before arriving\n          to Canfranc Station, near the southern side of the old railway tunnel of Somport.\n        <\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <hr \/>\n      <div>\n        <p>\n          To leave the village, you must go along next to the tunnel of the national road, crossing\n          a colonnade. Further ahead, we cross the River Arag\u00f3n again, just on the opposite side of\n          the Torreta de Fusileros. We can visit this monument, but it would mean taking a detour\n          that later on we could regret. If we decide to continue along the way, we should cross the\n          River Arag\u00f3n again to arrive in Canfranc.\n        <\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <hr \/>\n      <div>\n        <p>\n          Leaving the church of La Trinidad to the left, we leave the village and have to cross the\n          Arag\u00f3n river again over the Canfranc Bridge. Later, the path will force us to go along the\n          national road twice, always next to the river. In this way, we arrive to Villan\u00faa, where\n          you should decide whether or not to continue along the road, or to make a brief stop to\n          make the most of the services of the village on the left-hand side.\n        <\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <hr \/>\n      <div>\n        <p>\n          Continuing along the path, we should once again cross the River Arag\u00f3n, until crossing the\n          national road and thus reach the dual carriageway to Arator\u00e9s. Going down this road, the\n          moment will arrive when we have to turn right and then continue straight ahead until\n          reaching Castiello de Jaca.\n        <\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <hr \/>\n      <div>\n        <h4>Km 32 &#8231; Jaca<\/h4>\n        <p>\n          Once you\u2019ve finished the descent to the village, you should exit once again onto the\n          national road, where upon crossing it, you should follow the path until you reach the\n          River Arag\u00f3n once again and cross a bridge. Shortly after, we skirt the River Ijuez using\n          a specially constructed path for just this. Later on, we will find the train tracks that\n          we should follow until we have to cross the national road through a tunnel, and once\n          there, we continue on parallel to the national road, which should by on our left, with the\n          river on our right. We will arrive to the Hermitage of San Crist\u00f3bal, in order to then\n          take the Avenida de Francia to the centre of Jaca. Congratulations! You have finished the\n          first stage of the Camino Aragon\u00e9s.
